Vogue Strike! (Madonna)

Language: Russian

I don't mean to overload you on Madonna songs; it's just that, well, the best retranslations as far as I'm concerned are the ones where the meaning changes the most dramatically with the least alteration in the words as BabelFish feeds them back to me, and by that standard, this is the most successful one I've done yet.

In this song, Madonna takes a bold stand against the beauty industry and the ways it destroys the self-esteem of young girls for profit. The recurring phrase "I'm further against it" builds , becoming ever more radical, until a paramilitary strike against the headquarters of Vogue magazine is not out of the question --

or is it?

-Jessi

The strike of an idea:
idea.
Vogue, vogue, vogue.
Vogue, vogue, vogue.

Everywhere turning around you will be heartache;
it's everywhere that you go. [view around]
You attempt to escape everything; you can
know the pain of life. [life which you know]

You won't entirely know how yet, but when you long to be
something better than you were today,
you know the place where you can get me away:
it's caused by the dance floor, and they're here, so

I'm further against it. Vogue prevented your body from moving to notes [motion to notes]
hey, hey, hey
Further against it; Vogue prevented your body from going with their supply [go supply!]
you know you can do it.

Everything! You'll own your imagination,
therefore its use, for which it [for which it]
goes inward. Your most precise interpretation
of dreams will open doors. [open up door]

She is introduced: a change. Will you be black or whiteness?
Are you boy or girl? (none?)
If the notes force him, then it'll transmit new life to you,
yes, then you – you know that you're a superstar!

I thought about it further. Vogue prevented your grooving your body to notes [to groove to notes].
hey, hey, hey
I'm further against it. Vogue prevented your body from going with their supply [go with their supply!],
which you know you can make yours.

Where do you consider their beauty valid –
where you bump and they grind?
The soul is located in the musical,
beautiful magic where I feel this;
therefore, get up in the life ball of dance.

I'm further against it. Vogue prevented your body from moving to notes. [motion to notes]
hey, hey, hey
I'm further against it. Vogue prevented your body from going with their supply. [go with their supply!]
You know you can make it yours.

Vogue, beauty, [Vogue]
where you find their [motion to notes]
beauty. Vogue, [Vogue]
where you find them. [It goes with the supply.]

Greta Garbo, and Monroe,
Dietrich and DiMaggio
Marlon Brando, the dean to jimmy
the cover of the cassette.

Kelly, Grace; Harlow, Kelly;
image the genes of the beauty queen.
Ginger Rodgers; Jean-Fred Astaire;
dance on the ladies of air.

They had a type, they had a grace
Rita Hayworth gave them the good side.
Lauren, Katherine, Lana too
Bette Davis, we love you.

With the oriented fellows, whom they find in the mood,
it costs there exactly. Let's strike it to obtain an idea. (Nothing there. . . .)

Vogue, vogue . . .

Oooh, you prevented your body from moving to notes.
Oooh, you got it exactly; it prevented your body from going with the supply.
Oooh, he gets to Vogue by you.
